Northwest Energy Technology Showcase (NETS) 2005
August 23, 2005 -
Doubletree Hotel Lloyd Center
Portland, Oregon

The Northwest Energy Technology Showcase (NETS) highlighted the latest technologies and commercial products from seven of the best new energy technology companies in the Pacific Northwest. NETS offered energy entrepreneurs the rare opportunity to talk about who they are, what they do, how they do it, and the overall benefits to utilities as well as organizations and representatives involved with the energy sector as a whole. It is an annual energy event where emerging energy technology companies from the Pacific Northwest Region debut innovative products preparing to launch in the energy market.

All NETS presenters received added exposure at the Symposium with free exhibit booth space and an insertion into the regional distribution of the NWETC Emerging Energy Innovators booklet for 2005/6.

"On behalf of Craig Peterson and myself, and the rest of the NOVUS POWER team, I wanted to thank you for the great opportunity that you both provided to us to give the first public unveiling of our advanced motor technology at your NWETC 2005 Showcase. We were completely overwhelmed by the fantastic response that we received, and the caliber of individuals that stood in a long line to speak to us and share their enthusiasm for our project, from Angel investors to the Chief Technical Innovation Officer at Bonneville Power Administration, there were strong accolades and strong interest from several companies for potential JV's etc. Thank you for the opportunity. We look forward to working together with you both throughout the coming year."

Scott Plummer, President, Novus Power Corp.

"The 2005 NWETC was a great opportunity for us, as an early stage company, to meet industry peers and learn more about how we might work with other companies and groups in the Northwest involved in the energy sector. We enjoyed the opportunity to present our company at the Symposium and look forward to our continued role as a participant in the NWETC."

Kirt Montague, Prometheus Energy Company

"I appreciate the efficient way you handled the conference materials. Also Jeff Morris did a very professional job of moderating our session. I liked very much the response of the audience to our presentation on producing hydrogen from aluminum. We will have some follow on opportunities."

Jim Matkin, Hydrogen Power

"Very nice job on the Portland forum! The presentations were informative and useful. This is exactly the type of event that NWETC is well situated to pull together."

Tony Usibelli, Director of Energy Policy Division WA Dept. of Community, Trade, and Economic Development
